What is PBIS?
As part of our school’s ongoing efforts to help cultivate cooperative, responsible and respectful young adults, we use a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports system. PBIS is a team based, systematic approach in teaching behavior expectations throughout our school. It is based on a proactive model which teaches the behaviors, reinforces and recognizes students who are able to model these behaviors and has systems in place to support students who have a difficult time or may present with more challenging behaviors.

PBIS in action at RVMS
Our school’s PBIS committee offers the Nestbuck program to our students which helps to reinforce the positive culture we are creating in our school. We have a weekly Nestbuck Store with snacks, treats and basic school supplies. Students will have the opportunity to make purchases at the school store using Nestbucks earned for positive behaviors. The Nestbuck Store is open to students for “purchases” every Friday morning before school.
