Rincon Vista Middle School

Dean Nourse has been a passionate educator, supporter, and administrator in the Vail School District since 2002 when he began his teaching career at Cienega High School. After having strong positive influences as a child, he knew he wanted to try to be the same type of influence for students today. With experience in Math, Special Education, Athletics, and Student Achievement, he has been able to bring a unique perspective to inspire his students, staff, and community throughout his time as an educator, coach, and administrator. 

Mr. Nourse became the Principal of Rincon Vista Middle School in June of 2020 and has worked hard to continue building the strong academic success and community culture of the school. Parents and the community are an important part of Rincon Vista and this carries into his genuine passion for partnering with parents and staff members to support students while they navigate all of the social, emotional, and physical changes they experience as they mature.

Born in Georgia and raised in Phoenix, Mr. Nourse moved to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona where he met his wife, Alicia, and, as they say, the rest is history. Mr. and Mrs. Nourse are both passionate educators who work to help their students be their best selves in all they do. 

Each day, Mr. Nourse tries to make today better than yesterday for himself and those around him and this mindset is clear in all he does.
